Luke Thomas has been working in the not-for-profit sector for over 17 years, primarily in management and leadership roles in international fundraising. He has led fundraising projects and teams raising money in India, Africa, Europe, North America, and the Middle East.
He spent two years living in the UAE establishing a successful fundraising operation for a major international NGO. It was with this organisation that he first encountered Lepra, during a visit to a rural hospital in Orissa, India.
As Director of Fundraising and Engagement for the MS International Federation (MSIF) for the past eight years, Luke is responsible for growing the global income of the MSIF movement, raising funds for MSIF, and building the fundraising capacity of MS organisations around the world.
As a fundraising generalist, he has experience in corporate, trust and foundation, major donor, and digital fundraising. He is a passionate communicator and fundraiser, and believes being a donor is one of the most important ways we can support our personal causes. No money, no mission!
