For Shah and his wife Saleha from Bangladesh, specialist footwear from Lepra played a crucial role in their recovery:
Alongside working long hours, Saleha dedicates her remaining time to caring for Shah. She helps with his self-care routine twice a day to aid recovery and prevent further infection.
Lepra provides free, custom-made protective footwear that helps prevent injury, supports healing, and enables people to continue working and living independently.
Despite supplying 20,090 pairs of shoes last year, many people are still waiting for support.
£6.50 can provide one pair of protective, tailor-made shoes, helping someone stay mobile, safe, and independent.
