How to get involved We know not everyone will be lucky enough to attend The Patron's Lunch celebration on The Mall. But it's not all doom and gloom, there's still plenty going on and so many activities you can get involved in, to help celebrate with Lepra! Off The Mall There's lots going on in and around St James's park on Sunday 12th June. This artist's impression above shows that you can watch the live broadcast of the Patron's Lunch in a number of places in St James's Park and Green Park on the day. Gather up family and friends, take a picnic and enjoy an afternoon of celebration in the park. If you're planning to join in the celebrations at the park you can do so free of charge, however make sure you get there early, as gates will be closed if the parks have reached full capacity. And there will also be a carnival parade making two loops of The Mall and St James's Park. Attend or even organise a street party The Patron's Lunch are encouraging people to organise street parties to help celebrate across the country. This is a great way to get involved with your neighbours and local community and have a real feast in the street. The Department of Communities and Local Government has relaunched it's step-by-step guide which provides practical advice for anyone looking to hold a street party. You can find this here. A royal bake off Get your mixing bowls at the ready and take part in a royal bake off with friends and family and help raise money for Lepra. Also ideal if you're planning to attend a street party, take your freshly baked goods with you to share with your neighbours!
