Helen Rackham is the Director of Fundraising and Communications at Lepra, the leading UK-based charity fighting against leprosy. She took up this post in December 2017. Prior to that Helen has worked at a senior management level for many years, working across a range of sectors including, commercial healthcare, education and the third sector. More recently she spent time as a management consultant working for healthcare organisations with a focus on primary, secondary and urgent healthcare.
She has a degree in Business Management and is an accredited adviser specialising in Leadership and Management. Helen started her early career in a national architectural practice and has an HND in Art and Design, with a specialism in interior design.
In her spare time, Helen has a keen interest in renovating property, the latest project a pretty cottage in rural Suffolk where she lives with her two (still studying) adult offspring. They continue to keep her employed as chief cook and bottle washer.
Music is a huge part of her life and she was bought up listening to the sounds of Thelonious Monk, Art Blakey and Max Bygraves. She regularly attends live concerts, including attending performances at the world renowned concert hall at Snape Maltings, a stone’s throw from the beautiful Suffolk coast.
