Young fundraiser inspired to support Lepra after reading Maria’s Island

Chloe has supported Lepra over the past few years through amazing challenges.

In 2022 Chloe and her big sister Martha took on a sponsored litter pick in their local area in Torbay raising £165 whilst improving their environment. This year Chloe took on another amazing challenge for Lepra by walking 25 miles along the South West Coast and around Portwrinkle and Looe in Cornwall and raising a fantastic £220!

Chloe’s was inspired to support Lepra after reading Victoria Hislop’s book Maria’s Island. Her mother Sarah said:

Chloe was very moved reading the story, she has read it several times and was determined to keep supporting Lepra.

We are so grateful to Chloe, her sister Martha and their family for their continued support and we wanted to learn more about Chloe’s fundraising experience with Lepra. View a short interview with Chloe below to hear about her experience.

It is inspiring and amazing what Chloe has achieved at such a young age. Chloe and her older sister Martha should be so proud of themselves. Everyone at Lepra certainly is!
