New Face for Leprosy exhibition opens in Munich

18 December 2024

The New Face for Leprosy exhibition created by Emeritus Professor Diana Lockwood and photographer, Tom Bradley is now on permanent display at the LMU Klinikum - The Institute of Infectious Diseases and Tropical Medicine in Munich.

Challenging the myths and perceptions of leprosy, the thought-provoking series of portraits and real-life stories highlights the physical, social and emotional impact of this forgotten disease.

The exhibition was formally opened on 13 December by Director, Professor Michael Hoelscher and featured keynote speeches from Diana and Tom, alongside scientific presentations from LMU and the German Leprosy and TB Relief Organisation (DHAW).

“We’re so pleased that New Face for Leprosy is on permanent display at LMU. The opening provided much discussion and connection.”

Jimmy Innes, Lepra CEO
