In these unprecedented times, Lepra has made the tough decision to close our office in Colchester. Our dedicated team members continue to work from home, but we would encourage people to look at alternative methods of fundraising and donating for us.
Lepra Ambassador, Stuart Paver recently returned to India to see our Shoe Van project in action. Stuart was the driving force behind and funded the first van in Bihar through his company, Pavers Shoes. The project provides, safe, custom footwear to people with disabilities caused by leprosy and lymphatic filariasis through mobile vans.
Mental health issues affect 53% of people affected by leprosy or lymphatic filariasis. Our new Mental Motivators programme is helping people in Bangladesh to cope with these issues and get the help and support they need.
