Finance Manager

£27,500 per annum + benefits
Full-time, based in Colchester, Essex

Reporting to the Head of Finance and working closely with a small team, you will be responsible for managing and reporting on a wide range of financial activities. As well as overseeing day-to-day transactions and payroll for the charity, this role also includes the line management of a Finance Assistant.

Our successful candidate will be full or part qualified with experience and understanding of statutory accounting in a similar role; you will have the ability to deliver management accounting and reporting to a high standard and to be involved in planning, budgeting and forecasting. An eye for detail and an ability to think clearly and logically is essential, as are good communication skills and team working.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to develop experience across a wider finance function.

Marketing & Communications Manager

£29,000 - £31,000 per annum + benefits, dependent on skills and experience
Full-time, based in Colchester, Essex

This new post will lead exciting plans to gain profile and increase our support and income. By providing strategic marketing support, you will lead a team of two and manage multi-channel donor-driven plans to achieve fundraising and marketing goals. You will set plans for web communications and have knowledge of and a keen interest in online and social media, PPC, SEO and e-marketing to create opportunities for Lepra. The successful candidate will ensure all communications and off-line collateral comply with our messaging and branding and develop wider profile through external communications.

You will be either CIM or CAM qualified, or equivalent, and have several years’ experience in a communication setting. With past line-management experience, you will be able to manage projects to deadline, be commercially aware and have a creative mind set.

The role will involve research and the ongoing monitoring and evaluation of individual marketing and communication activities; excellent communication skills with attention to detail are essential for this role. The successful candidate will be a self-starter and ideally have some direct experience in the charity sector.

Digital Communications Assistant

£19,500 per annum + benefits
Full-time, based in Colchester, Essex

This is an exciting opportunity for anyone looking to take their next step in a career in digital communications. Lepra is an international charity fighting disease, poverty and prejudice. We work on the frontline in India and Bangladesh to treat, educate, rehabilitate and give a voice to people living on the margins of society; last year we helped 1.2 million people to improve their livelihoods and reached a further 1.2 million through health education programmes.

As our successful candidate you will be supporting our growing web presence and activity across social networking and media. You will also provide design support, web marketing and the development of materials.

As part of the development team, you will work with our Communications and IT functions where your experience will be instrumental in helping us to fulfill the beginning-to-end supporter journey within our website.

To be successful you will need to demonstrate that you are exceptionally proactive, an excellent communicator and up-to-date with the latest technologies and current on-line trends. Ideally, you will have a qualification in on-line web or media/marketing communications, or two years’ experience in a similar role. Digital marketing, PPC, Facebook and other industry initiatives will particularly excite you and the chance to express your creativity for new ideas will add to the appeal of this role.

Are you social media savvy and want to put your skills to good use? Lepra needs you! We are looking for an enthusiastic volunteer to join our digital communications team. You will contribute to the day-to-day management of the social media and will help research new opportunities for us.
