Fundraiser - West Midlands (Covering West Midlands, Herefordshire, Shropshire, Staffordshire, Warwickshire and Worcestershire)

£13,200 (£22,000 FTE per annum) plus benefits

We are recruiting for a part-time Fundraiser in the West Midlands area to drive income generation and increase Lepra’s profile across regional communities by engaging, inspiring and developing a new demographic of supporters alongside the retention of an existing and loyal supporter base.

You will be experienced in building and maintaining relationships and as part of the fundraising team, working towards meeting stretching unrestricted income generation targets.

Using a social capital approach, you will raise awareness of the charity, thus increasing Lepra’s profile and reach.

With support from the Corporate and Community Partnerships Manager, your key objectives will be to;

  • Raise unrestricted-income from a range of channels including but not limited to:
    • Partnerships
    • Individuals
    • Organisations
    • Corporations
    • Schools
    • Events
    • Trusts
    • Payroll
    • Sponsors
    • Legacies
  • Build relationships across a range of new and existing channels
  • Recruit, train and manage volunteers to ensure targets are reached
  • Support the development of Lepra’s ‘Ambassadors’ programme

This role is available as 21 hours per week. There will be a requirement for flexible working in order to attend out of hours events in the evening or the weekend, as appropriate.

This is a home based role and will be linked to one of two hubs across the country. The ability to travel in the UK (and occasionally overseas) is required. There is a requirement for own vehicle use, expenses payable.

This role requires the successful applicant to apply for an enhanced DBS check with barring for children and vulnerable adults. Appointment and ongoing employment will be subject to a clear check being received. All new starters will be required to take responsibility for joining the DBS update service, at the point of DBS application, and bear the cost of annual subscription whilst employed by Lepra.
