An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full time Finance Manager to join us here in Colchester. The role will be fixed term to provide maternity cover from March 2018.

This diverse and interesting role assists the Head of Finance and Support Services in all aspects of financial and departmental management.

The post holder is also responsible for maintaining appropriate and accurate records plus timely and accurate management information is prepared in accordance with agreed organisational procedures.

It is essential to have at least 2 years’ experience of statutory accounting within a similar role and experience of management accounting, reporting, planning, budgeting and forecasting.

It is desirable for you to have experience and understanding of charities SORP, funded projects and reporting to external donors and monthly payroll. It is also beneficial for you to have experience in liaising with auditors. You are also responsible for line managing the Finance and Payroll Assistant.
