Virtual Cycle - Edinburgh to St Andrews

Date: Ongoing

Location: Your choice

Registration fee: Free

The Lepra Edinburgh to St Andrews bike ride is usually a firm calendar fixture each year in June. However since the pandemic, we have introduced an ongoing virtual ride which can be completed whenever and however you like!

All you need to do is cycle 68 miles, and fundraise £68 for people affected by leprosy!

Do it your way

Cycle 68 miles, on the road, from the comfort of your own home, in one day, or across the whole month. Do it on your own, or tag team your family and friends in, the choice is yours.

You’ll have a fundraising target of £68, £1 for every mile. Once the 68 miles is complete, you and your team are virtual E to A finishers, and will receive a digital certificate to prove it!

How do I get started?

Decide if you will be doing this alone or in a team, and if you’ll do it all in one go or staggered across a timeframe. Then follow these 5 easy steps:

  1. Sign up to the challenge by emailing your name/team name and timeframe to
  2. Set up a fundraising page on JustGiving - don't forget to share it with your friends and family
  3. Get cycling. Whether you’re doing it all in one go or across June. Ride your 68 miles however you like.
  4. Take lots of photos across your journey, share them on social media, tag Lepra and #LepraEtoAVirtual #BeatLeprosy
  5. Send us your evidence to (e.g. screenshot of strava/bike machine distance)
  6. We send you your digital certificate by email – you’ve done something amazing!

How will my fundraising help?

Your fundraising will make a huge difference to someone’s life. £68 can pay for a child to receive support through their leprosy diagnosis, enabling them to remain in school.

Good luck and see you 'there'!
