£22,000 per annum plus benefits

We are recruiting for a highly motivated, skilled and resourceful Events Lead to join our team here in Colchester with a remit to engage, inspire and develop a new demographic of supporters alongside the retention of an existing and loyal supporter base.

You will be experienced in building and maintaining relationships and as part of the fundraising team working towards meeting stretching unrestricted income targets. 

Using a social capital approach, you will raise awareness raising of the charity, thus increasing Lepra’s profile and reach.

With support from our Head of Fundraising and Communications your key objectives will be to;

  • Devise, promote and execute a range of relevant engagement events, activities and programmes which appeals to existing supporters, whilst reaching a new donor audience
  • Build relationships across a range of new and existing channels
  • Recruit, train and manage volunteers to ensure targets are reached
  • Support the development of Lepra’s ‘Ambassadors’ programme
  • Lead the development of Lepra’s University strategy

This post is full-time, 35 hours per week and is based in our Colchester office.  There will be a requirement to attend out of hours events in the evening or the weekend.  The ability to travel in the UK (and occasionally overseas) is required.
