The competition is open to residents of the United Kingdom who will be aged between 5 and 16 on the 27th May 2016, however excludes close relatives of any employee and trustee of Lepra and anyone otherwise connected with the organisation or judging of the competition.

To enter, entrants must create their own unique bunting in a street party celebration theme using the bunting template provided on the Lepra website.

There is no entry fee and no purchase necessary to enter this competition.

A parent/guardian is required to approve the entry and agree to these terms and conditions on behalf of the entrant by a way of check box and signature on the entry form downloaded via the Lepra website. The parent/guardian must provide their own contact details.

The competition will be promoted through social media channels like Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

Only one entry will be accepted per individual. Multiple entries from the same person and group entries will be disqualified.

Entries must be the original work of the entrant and must not infringe the rights of any other party.

Entries must not contain defamatory, obscene, offensive or any other unsuitable material.

Competition opens on 8am on Friday 19th February 2016 and closing date for all entries (including postal – please be mindful that Royal Mail delivery is around 4pm on a weekday) will be 5pm on Friday 27th May 2016. After this date the no further entries to the competition will be permitted.

Entries will be within three different age categories as follows:

  • KS1 (ages 5-7 on the 27th May 2016)
  • KS2 (ages 8-11 on the 27th May 2016)
  • KS3/4 (ages 12-16 on the 27th May 2016)

Three winners (one for each category) will be chosen by two named judges on Tuesday 31st May, at Lepra, 28 Middleborough, Colchester, Essex, CO1 1TG. The winner’s parent/guardian will be contacted within three working days.

Judges will be given anonymous copies of entries and will judge entries on:

  • Originality
  • Creativity
  • Relevance to the theme

If the winner cannot be contacted or does not claim the prize within three days of notification, we reserve the right to withdraw the prize from the winner and pick a replacement winner.

Lepra will notify the winner’s parent/guardian when and where the prize will be delivered.

No responsibility can be accepted for entries not received for whatever reason.

We will only contact the successful entrant’s parent/guardian.

Entries will only be accepted via email to competitions@lepra.org.uk or via post to Lepra Competitions, 28 Middleborough, Colchester, Essex, CO1 1TG. Entries via post which do not include correct postage will not be accepted.

Entries that do not include parent/guardian permission and contact details will not be accepted.

Entries will not be returned to the entrant, please ensure you make a copy if you wish to keep one.

Lepra reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition and these terms and conditions without notice in the event of a catastrophe, war, civil or military disturbance, act of God or any actual or anticipated breach of any applicable law or regulation or any other event outside of the promoter’s control. Any changes to the competition will be notified to entrants as soon as possible by Lepra.

Lepra is not responsible for inaccurate prize details supplied to any entrant.

The prize for each category is as follows:

  • KS1 (ages 5-7) - Amazon Fire 7 Kid's Edition, 8GB blue
  • KS2 (ages 8-11) - Samsung Galaxy Tab E 9.6", 8GB, black
  • KS3/4 (ages 12-16) - Samsung Galaxy Tab A 9.7", 16GB, black

The prize is as stated and no cash or other alternatives will be offered. The prizes are not transferable. Prizes are subject to availability and we reserve the right to substitute any prize with another of equivalent value without giving notice.

It is Lepra’s decision in respect of all matters to do with the competition, the decision will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.

The competition and these terms and conditions will be governed by English law and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England.

Entrants retain the copyright in their entry but grant to Lepra a perpetual non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to publish, broadcast (across all media) and post the entry online and on any other platforms yet to be envisaged.

Only the entrant’s name and age will be published with an entry.

Any personal data relating to the winner or any other entrants will be used solely in accordance with current UK data protection legislation and will not be disclosed to a third party without the entrant’s prior consent.
