Our Vice Chair of Lepra in India talks about her own experience with leprosy and why she thinks we should be discouraging people from sing the term ‘leper’. She says it contributes to the prejudice surrounding leprosy and asks for your help preventing its use.

Many people don’t realise they still exist but leprosy colonies are indeed still around today and we work to help those living in them to receive disability grants and healthcare. You can read about what it’s like to live in a colony and discover one woman’s incredible sacrifice for her family.
