The Lepra Edinburgh to St Andrews Cycle Ride has hit a flat….!  But don’t worry, we have an extra tube or two, a hand pump and a CO2 canister and plan to be back on track in June 2020.  Keep an eye out for our exciting new developments and entry arrangements here.

In the meantime, we would love you to be involved in next year’s event, from planning through to volunteering, so please do email Olivia at [email protected] to discuss how you can support this wonderful experience.

Cycle to cure leprosy

Sign up for our Edinburgh to St Andrews Cycle Ride 2020 fundraising event and help transform the lives of people affected by leprosy.

This sponsored charity cycle ride gives you the opportunity to cycle a 68 mile track with up to 1,000 other cyclists.

Starting in Edinburgh’s Inverleith Park, you’ll cross the Forth Bridge, pass through the beautiful Fife hills, stop for a bite to eat to give you that well-needed energy boost, before finishing in the beautiful coastal town of St Andrews.

This event can be enjoyed by teams of riders, families, or individuals who want to take advantage of a great course while cycling to help beat leprosy.

Your fundraising will make a real difference

Each day more than 600 people are diagnosed and start treatment for leprosy – over 50 will be children.

Millions more are living undiagnosed and every day leprosy inflicts more damage to their bodies.

The funds you raise will help provide the cure and support needed to help people overcome leprosy.

What if I get a puncture?

Don’t worry! Mechanics from Edinburgh Bicycle Cooperative will be there with a repair van to help you with any bike trouble.

How will I get back?

We can take you back to Edinburgh with our optional bus and bike van service.

Don’t just take it from us!

Graeme Obree, 2 x holder of the 1-hour record and world 4,000 Pursuit Champion – otherwise known as The Flying Scotsman, says:

The Edinburgh to St Andrews Bike Ride is a fabulous event that has been raising money for Lepra for over 20 years.

This year’s ride could mean reaching a grand total of half a million pounds, which will go towards improving healthcare in some of the world’s poorest countries.

We’re calling for the people of Scotland to get on their bikes and join in peddling against leprosy.
