Each year up to 1,000 cyclists participate in this annual event which takes place over the 68 miles between Edinburgh and St Andrews. The ride takes a lovely route through the Fife hills, with well organised refreshment stops for lunch or afternoon tea or perhaps ice cream to assist you on your way.

Now in its 36th year the well known Edinburgh to St Andrew's is great fun for all the family.

There will be a repair van to help you with any bike trouble, a luggage van to carry anything for you. We also offer a return bus to Edinburgh on the Saturday evening.

We don't have a minimum sponsorship amount, we only ask you to raise as much as you can, and have great fun doing it!

Why take part?

Graeme Obree, aka The Flying Scotsman, is encouraging people to help make a difference by getting on their bikes and cycling the 65 miles.

The Edinburgh to St Andrews Bike Ride is a fabulous event that has been raising money for Lepra’s work for over 20 years. This year’s ride could mean reaching a grand total of half a million pounds, all of which goes towards improving healthcare and reducing poverty in some of the world’s poorest countries. We’re calling for the people of Scotland to get on their bikes and join in peddling for poverty.
